The inner lines of the pistachio are engraved. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why paints and glue stick reliably. As a natural material, every piece has its own grain. Some are lighter, some darker, and some have small knots. This is not a flaw. It makes every wooden pistachio one of a kind.
