The craft table is set and the children are waiting. You want a material that looks better than card and still holds up on the third afternoon. That is exactly what this acrylic puzzle is made for. It is a colourless opal puzzle piece made of PLEXIGLAS®. You can paint it, stick things on it, write on it or fit it together with other pieces to make one big picture. A craft idea becomes something you pick up again and again.

What changes for you

  • You make things that last. The cast acrylic glass is very sturdy and can be reused again and again, unlike paper or card.
  • Your designs glow softly, but nobody can see through them. The opal surface lets through 90% of the light and is completely opaque.
  • You can fit several pieces together seamlessly. All puzzle pieces of the same size are precisely laser-cut and interlock cleanly.
  • Your decorations hold up outdoors too. The material is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable. Window decorations and garden projects are no problem.
  • You start with a flawless surface. Every piece comes with protective film, so the glossy finish is only revealed once it is with you.

Why this acrylic puzzle makes a difference in everyday use

Crafting with children, preparing a gift or building models? With a blank that already has its shape and sturdiness, you get to the result faster. No cutting and correcting – you simply start designing. The finished piece looks like something you would happily give away or hang up. The opal surface gives your colours a calm, even base.

Material & finish

Every puzzle piece is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck from cast branded acrylic glass (GS). This gives smooth, clean edges with no reworking. The pieces fit snugly against each other. The sheet is approx. 3 mm thick and feels firm in your hand. It copes well with children's hands too. Once you peel off the protective film, the glossy surface appears. Until then, it stays reliably protected from scratches.

How to use the puzzle piece

  • Crafting with children: each child designs one piece. At the end, you put them all together – and a shared work of art hangs on the wall.
  • Make a Mother's Day or Father's Day gift: one labelled puzzle piece per family member. Put together, they make a gift that really comes from everyone.
  • For Christmas decorations: hang painted pieces in the window or in front of fairy lights. The opal surface lets the light shine through softly, without letting anyone see through.
  • In model making and decoration projects: the precisely laser-cut shape works as a component, a surface for lettering or an ornament. It is weather-resistant outdoors too.
  • In shops, cafés or at events: name tags, team activities or guest gifts made from individual pieces. With sets of up to 100 pieces, you can plan for larger groups too.

Good to know about puzzles

The jigsaw puzzle was invented in 18th-century England. The mapmaker John Spilsbury cut maps into pieces so that children could learn geography through play. To this day, the puzzle piece stands for togetherness like few other symbols – every piece counts. That is why it works so well for group gifts, weddings and team activities, where many hands make one whole.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Simply leave the protective film on the piece until you start decorating, and the surface stays scratch-free. To clean it, a soft, damp cloth is enough. Avoid abrasive or harsh cleaners so that the gloss lasts. The material is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable, so it also copes with long-term outdoor use.

Options & what's included

  • Width selectable from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps
  • Available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100
  • Every puzzle piece comes with protective film so it does not get scratched on its way to you

Frequently asked questions

Can you see through the puzzle piece? No. The colourless opal acrylic glass is completely opaque but lets through 90% of the light. This is ideal if you want to light your designs from behind.

Can several pieces be fitted together? Yes. All puzzle pieces of the same size interlock seamlessly, because every cut is laser-cut and therefore precise.

Is the puzzle suitable for outdoor use? Yes. The material is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable. It keeps its shape and colour outdoors too.

How big is the piece really? You choose a width between 3 and 50 cm. At a width of 10 cm, the height including the tabs is also 10 cm.

Why is there a film on the piece? The protective film keeps the surface free from scratches. Once you peel it off, the gloss appears.

What counts is not the piece of acrylic glass. It is the moment the last piece clicks into place and lots of small ideas become one whole. Just choose your size and quantity – and get started.
