Material & finish

The square is made of cast acrylic glass (GS), approx. 3 mm thick. It is a branded material that keeps its shape and feels smooth and solid. All cuts are laser-cut, so the edges are clean and even. Once you peel off the protective film, the glossy surface shows a rich red. With a translucency of 3%, the material lets very little light through. This keeps the colour strong and the square opaque. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. We use precise lasers and finish every piece with care.

Good to know about acrylic glass

Acrylic glass is much lighter than ordinary glass and more break-resistant. In cast quality, it doesn't turn yellow, even in sunlight. So the cutout isn't only for decorating your living room. It works just as well for lettering and colour panels that are meant to hang outside for good.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Ideally, peel off the protective film just before use. That way the glossy surface stays undamaged until the last moment. After that, simply wipe it now and then with a soft cloth. This way the square keeps its colour and shine through many uses, indoors and outdoors.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the square outdoors? Yes. The acrylic glass is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable. So it is also suitable for signs, colour panels and covers outside.

Is the material see-through? No, only minimally. With a translucency of 3%, the red square lets hardly any light through. The colour looks strong and the square is opaque.

How are the edges finished? All cuts are laser-cut, so the edges are clean and even. No sanding is needed.

How big is the square at the width I choose? Width and height are the same. For example, if you choose a width of 10 cm, the height is also 10 cm.

Why is there a film on the cutout? The protective film keeps the surface free from scratches. Once you peel it off, the glossy red surface appears.
