Material & finish

We make every square at Bütic in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. We use cast branded acrylic glass (GS) and cut it on lasers, with clean, smooth edges. Once you remove the protective film, you see the glossy surface that gives the black square its elegant look. At approx. 3 mm thick, the sheet is sturdy enough for indoors and outdoors. The cast acrylic glass withstands weather, frost and UV light without becoming brittle or fading.

Good to know about acrylic glass

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Leave the protective film on the sheet until your project is finished. That keeps the glossy surface free of scratches. After that, an occasional wipe with a soft cloth is enough. Avoid abrasive sponges so the gloss lasts.
