Once you peel off the protective film, the surface is glossy. Every acrylic disc is laser-cut in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. This ensures clean cut edges and consistent finishing, even for large quantities.

Good to know about acrylic glass

Acrylic glass was developed in Germany in the 1930s. It became known worldwide under the brand name PLEXIGLAS^®. Cast acrylic is considered particularly dimensionally stable. Thanks to its UV stability, it does not turn yellow. That is why the grey circle is suitable not only for crafts at the kitchen table. Frequently asked questions

Is the disc see-through? No. With 0 % translucency, the grey disc is opaque. It is ideal if you need a calm, solid base.

Can I use the disc outdoors? Yes. The cast acrylic is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable. So it is also suitable for outdoor use.

What is the protective film for? It protects the surface from scratches on its way to you. Once you peel it off, the glossy surface is revealed.

How accurate are the dimensions? All cuts are made by laser. If you choose a width of e.g. 10 cm, the height is also 10 cm. So you get an even circle.
