Material & finish

Each disc is made of cast acrylic glass (GS), approx. 3 mm thick. This keeps it dimensionally stable and durable, even when it's handled often. All cuts are lasered, so the edges are even and clean. Peel off the protective film to reveal the glossy blue surface. With a translucency of 5%, it lets only a little light through. This keeps the colour rich. Every disc is made from PLEXIGLAS^® in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the oval discs

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the discs outdoors? Yes. The acrylic glass is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable – it's suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

How big is the disc at a given width? The oval has a ratio of 2 to 1: at 10 cm wide, the height is 5 cm.

Is the disc see-through? No, it only lets a little light through: the translucency is 5%, so the blue looks strong and opaque.

Why is there a film on the disc? The protective film keeps the surface safe from scratches in transit. Once you peel it off, the glossy side appears.
