Material & finish

Each disc is made of cast acrylic glass (GS) about 3 mm thick. It's a branded material that feels sturdy and doesn't flex easily. All cuts are lasered, so the edges are clean and even. Once you remove the protective film, the glossy surface appears. Colours look rich on it, and lettering stays sharp and legible. Every disc is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is laser-cut and cleanly finished.

How to use the oval discs

• Crafting with children: each child paints their own oval. At the end, a small gallery of self-designed signs hangs in the children's room.
• If you want to make Christmas decorations: write on the white ovals or decorate them with stickers. They become hanging ornaments and window decorations. Thanks to their UV stability, they also last outdoors by the front door.
• In model making: use the precisely laser-cut shape as a base plate or component. You save yourself the effort of cutting it by hand.

Good to know about PLEXIGLAS^®

PLEXIGLAS^® is the protected brand name for an acrylic glass developed in Germany in the 1930s. Since then, it has proven itself as a light, break-resistant alternative to glass. For you, this means your decoration and craft projects keep their shape. You can also use them where real glass would be too fragile, such as in a children's room or outdoors.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Ideally, leave the protective film on the disc until you've finished your work. That way, the glossy surface stays undamaged. The material is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable. So you can leave finished pieces outside permanently. You can also reuse the discs again and again whenever you like.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the oval discs outdoors? Yes. The acrylic glass is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable. This makes it suitable for gardens, balconies and outdoor decorations too.

Are the discs opaque? Mostly, yes. The translucency is 3%, so only very little light shines through.

How tall is a disc at the width I choose? The oval has a fixed ratio of 2 to 1. For example, at 10 cm wide, the height is 5 cm.

Why is there a film on the disc? The protective film keeps the surface safe from scratches in transit. Once you peel it off, the glossy side appears.

Where do the discs come from? From our own production. Every disc is laser-cut from branded acrylic in Pößneck, Thuringia.
