Advent is coming, and the window still looks a little bare. You're looking for stars that can do more than paper. A PLEXIGLAS® star cutout in dark grey transparent can go in the window, on the table or in a shop window. And it lasts in ways paper can't. It is weatherproof and can be reused again and again. So you can bring it out year after year. It's made for your Christmas decorations – but not only for them.

What changes for you

  • You can decorate indoors and outdoors without worrying about rain or cold. The acrylic glass is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable.
  • Your decorations last not just one season but many. The sturdy cast acrylic glass is approx. 3 mm thick. You can use it again and again.
  • You'll find the right size for every project, from a small gift tag to a large window star. The stars are available from 3 cm to 50 cm wide in 1 cm steps.
  • Your stars arrive in perfect condition. Every cutout comes with protective film. It only shows its shine once it's with you.
  • No more tedious sawing by hand. All cuts are cleanly lasered, with even edges and a precise shape.

Why this PLEXIGLAS® star makes a difference every day

Dark grey transparent looks understated yet distinctive. When light shines through the star, it creates a soft, smoky shimmer. This sets it apart from colourful standard decorations. Use it in the window, as a hanging decoration on a branch or as a part in model making. The clean shape brings calm to your arrangement without taking centre stage. After the holidays, you can easily work the star into other arrangements without it dominating.

Material & finish

Every star is made from cast acrylic glass (GS). This branded material is much sturdier than thin craft film. So you can hang it, stick things to it and work with it securely. Laser cutting gives clean, even edges. Once you peel off the protective film, the surface is glossy. The stars are made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. So every cutout is made right here in Germany.

How to use the stars

  • Making Christmas decorations: small stars as hanging decorations on branches or gifts. Your packaging gets a sturdy PLEXIGLAS® decoration that won't crease or fade.
  • Crafting with children: paint the stars, stick things on them or string them into a garland. The sturdy material copes with impatient hands too.
  • Outdoors: a large star on the front door or balcony. The weatherproof, frost-resistant acrylic glass keeps it looking good all winter.
  • Model making: precisely lasered shapes in the right size. You keep building instead of cutting.
  • In your business: stars in the window of a café, bakery or shop. Quick to hang up, taken down in January and reused next year. That saves time and the cost of new decorations every year.

Good to know about the star

For centuries, the star has been one of the best-known symbols of Advent and Christmas. It stands for the Star of Bethlehem, which shows the way. That's why the motif suits so many places: the window, the tree, the gift table or a seasonal shop window display.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. After the season, simply store the stars dry and protected from scratches. That way they keep their glossy surface for many years. The material is UV-stable, weatherproof and frost-resistant. So you can use the stars outdoors too, and the colour won't suffer.
