Material & finish

Every star is laser-cut from cast PLEXIGLAS^® (GS) in our own production in Pößneck. The laser cut gives clean, even edges. Thanks to the fluorescent material, these edges glow especially brightly when light hits them. Once you peel off the protective film, you'll see a glossy surface that lets 89 % of light through. At approx. 3 mm thick, the stars keep their shape. They can handle being hung up and taken down often.

Good to know about fluorescent acrylic glass

Fluorescent acrylic glass collects light across its whole surface and releases it concentrated at the edges. That's why the cut edges look as if they're glowing from within. So the stars work best where daylight or a lamp falls on them: in the window, near fairy lights or in a bright shop window.

Care & durability

There's not much to do: peel off the protective film, hang up, done. The material is weatherproof, frost-resistant and UV-stable, so you can leave the stars outside. The colour stays strong. After the season, simply store them until you need them again.
