Why this wooden puzzle piece makes a difference in everyday life
A puzzle piece tells a little story all by itself. It stands for togetherness, for the one piece that was still missing. That's exactly why a wooden puzzle with writing on it means more than a simple card, whether as a guest book, gift or wall decoration. You give your guests, colleagues or children something to hold that lasts. And in the end, it all comes together into one big whole.
Material & finish
The puzzle piece is made of 3 mm poplar plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The finish is clean and the edges are smooth. Because the wood is left in its natural state, you can glue things onto it, coat it, oil it or paint it, just as your project needs. Wood is a purely natural material. Each piece has its own shade and its own grain and may have small knots. That makes every piece one of a kind, not a defect.

Good to know about puzzles
The jigsaw puzzle goes back to the London map dealer John Spilsbury. Around 1760, he glued maps onto wood and sawed them into pieces so children could learn geography through play. So wood was the very first puzzle material. To this day, a single puzzle piece is a symbol of togetherness and of the missing piece to happiness. That's why it suits weddings, farewells, team gifts and any occasion where many people come together to form a whole.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Keep the untreated wood dry and avoid constant moisture. Then it will keep its shape for a long time. If you paint or oil it, you give the surface extra protection – and decide on the look at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the puzzle piece or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated and can be glued, coated, oiled or painted – ideal for crafting and decorating.
Why does the puzzle piece have a brown edge? The piece is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge along the sides – and it also makes the edges smooth.
How tall is the puzzle piece at my chosen width? The height is half the width: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 5 cm.
Do all puzzle pieces look the same? The shape does, the wood not quite: as a natural material, it varies in shade and may show small irregularities in the grain or tiny knots – every piece is one of a kind.
Are the sets suitable for groups? Yes. With 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you're well equipped for crafting afternoons, school projects or wedding parties.
A piece of plywood is only the starting point. What counts is the moment when many single pieces come together into one picture – made by people who created something together. Just choose your width and quantity. You do the rest.
