What changes for you
- You can start crafting straight away. There's no sawing or drawing to do. The robot comes laser cut, and all outlines are already engraved.
- Your motif always fits your project, from a small table scatter piece to a large wall decoration. You can choose any height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You're free to design it any way you like: paint it, stick things on, coat it or oil it. The poplar plywood is untreated and takes colour well.
- You're also well equipped for groups, for example when crafting with children at nursery, school or a birthday party. The robot is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden robot makes a difference in everyday life
A ready-made cutout takes care of the tedious part. You get to do the fun part: the designing. No need to trace and cut out templates. Just put the robot on the table and get started. Whether you see it as a machine, an automaton or a friendly helper, the motif brings a playful tech theme to the children's room. And it turns ordinary decoration into something the kids made with their own hands.
Material & finish
The robot is laser cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting gives smooth edges and the typical brown rim. This gives the motif a clearly defined outline. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That makes it an ideal base for paint, glue or oil. As a natural material, wood is never completely uniform. Variations in shade, fine grain patterns and small knots are normal. They make every piece one of a kind.

How to use the wooden robot
- At a children's birthday party: Each child paints their own robot. At the end, they take home a keepsake they designed themselves.
- On a school cone: Stick on a robot, and the cone becomes unmistakable for little tech fans. It takes hardly any crafting effort.
- In the children's room: Painted and placed on a shelf or door, the cutout becomes a decoration your child proudly shows off.
- At nursery, after-school club or school: With the set of 25, 50 or 100, identical blanks are ready for the whole group. Everyone starts at the same time, and nobody has to wait.
- In a shop or shop window: Several robots in different sizes quickly make a themed display about technology and machines. It doesn't take long to set up.
Good to know about the robot
The word “robot” comes from the Czech word “robota”, meaning work. It became known in 1920 through Karel Čapek's play “R.U.R.”. Since then, the figure has stood for a love of technology across generations. That's exactly why the motif works so well as decoration in the children's room, on the birthday table or on a school cone.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Simply store the untreated cutout in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. That way it keeps its shape for a long time. If you paint, varnish or oil it, you give the surface extra protection. And the colours will last.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the robot or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated and can be decorated with glue-on items, painted or oiled. It takes paint and glue well.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The robot is laser cut. This creates the typical brown rim along the cut edges. It's a feature of the process, which also gives smooth edges.
Do all robots look exactly the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it shows variations in shade, fine grain patterns and the occasional small knot. Every piece is one of a kind.
How wide is the robot at my chosen height? As a reference: at a height of 10 cm, the width is 8 cm. The proportions stay the same for all sizes.
Is the robot suitable for outdoor use? The wood is untreated. For outdoor use, you should paint, varnish or oil it first. Avoid constant moisture.
The best part is the moment your child holds up their finished robot and wants to show it to everyone. Simply choose your size and quantity. You'll do the rest together.
