Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. An afternoon at the craft table. Paints and brushes are ready – all that's missing is the right blank. This 1/16 wooden circle is made for your next craft idea. It's a cleanly laser-cut cutout shaped like a slice of cake. You can paint it, stick things on it or simply arrange it into patterns. Piece by piece, single segments become a half or full wooden circle. And an idea becomes a finished piece of decor.
What changes for you
- Use several pieces to lay out half or full circles, geometric patterns or puzzles. Each piece is exactly one sixteenth of a circle, so the segments fit together precisely.
- Design it just the way you like. The wood is untreated and takes paint, oil or glue directly.
- Carry on without sanding. The laser cut leaves smooth edges with the typical decorative brown rim.
- Find exactly the right size for your project. Choose from a delicate 3 cm up to a large 50 cm edge length, in 1 cm steps.
- Plan larger projects without stress. You can order the cutout singly or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden circle makes a difference in everyday use
A good blank saves you half the work. No sawing, no measuring, no smoothing – you can start designing straight away. All segments have the same shape. That gives you calm, even patterns, whether on the wall, on the table or in a shop window. So you have more time for the part that's really fun: the designing itself.
Material & finish
The cutout is made of 3 mm plywood. It's light enough to hang up or glue on, yet it keeps its shape. The laser cut gives smooth, clean edges. The brown rim is typical and makes the outline clearly visible. The wood is left natural, not varnished or glazed. Some pieces are lighter, some darker. Each shows its own grain and occasionally small knots. That makes every piece one of a kind. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the 1/16 circle
- Crafting with children: Paint each segment in bright colours. At the end, lay out a whole rainbow circle of wood together.
- Wall decor: Combine several segments in different colours into a geometric pattern. A blank wall becomes a designed surface.
- As a puzzle: Children put the cake slices together into half and full circles. Along the way, they get a hands-on feel for shapes and fractions.
- In shops or cafés: Labelled segments mark varieties or prices at the counter. They're quick to arrange and can be rearranged at any time.
- Seasonal decor: For Easter, Advent or a wedding, decorate or write on the pieces to suit the occasion. Your table decorations then reflect your own ideas.
Good to know about the circle segment
Sixteen of these segments make a complete circle. So each piece covers exactly 22.5 degrees. That's why the shape works so well for puzzles and learning games about fractions and angles. It also suits symmetrical patterns that come out exactly right.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. Store the cutouts in a dry place and keep them away from constant moisture. Then they will keep their shape for a long time. Painting or oiling the surface protects the wood further and gives it a shade of your choice.

Frequently asked questions
What does edge length mean for this cutout? The edge length is the radius of the circle the segment comes from. You can choose from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
Can I paint the wood or stick things on it? Yes. The plywood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or decorate it in other ways.
Why does the cutout have a brown rim? The rim is created during laser cutting and is typical for this type of cut. The edges are smooth, so no sanding is needed.
Do all pieces look the same? The shape is identical for all of them, but the wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary. Each piece is one of a kind.
How many segments make a full circle? Sixteen pieces make a complete circle, eight make a half. That's ideal if you're planning patterns or puzzles.
The moment the last segment slides into place, lots of small cake slices become your own pattern. Simply choose the size and quantity that suit your project. The rest is up to you.
