PLEXIGLAS^® flower suncatcher – fluorescent, 14 cm

You glance out of the kitchen window into the garden – and there, between the perennials and grasses, a splash of colour glows as if someone had switched on a light. That's exactly what this fluorescent PLEXIGLAS^® flower suncatcher does: it captures daylight and makes its edges shine in neon colours – just made for your flowerbed. No power, no fuss, simply push it into the ground.

What changes for you

• Your garden gets a spot that catches the eye – because the fluorescent flower gathers incoming UV light and releases it as a bright glow along its edges.
• You'll have colour in your flowerbed even on dull days – the effect works in sunshine, under cloud and even in light twilight.
• You can set up the suncatcher in seconds thanks to the included 100 cm flexible fibreglass rod – flowerbed, plant pot or garden path, just push it in and you're done.
• No need to worry when it rains – the weatherproof, sturdy acrylic glass can stay outside all year round.
• Your eye follows the movement – because the flexible rod sways gently in the wind and the slightly curved flower catches the light from ever-changing angles.

Why this suncatcher makes a difference every day

A garden is made of small moments: your morning coffee on the patio, the walk to the letterbox, the evening on the bench. With a glowing suncatcher in the flower bed, the colour changes with the light and the wind. Sometimes it shines brightly, sometimes it shimmers softly. Your outdoor space looks lively and lovingly decorated, without you having to do anything.

Material & finish

The flower is made of weatherproof, sturdy acrylic glass. It stands up to rain, sun and wind and keeps its bright glow for a long time. Every acrylic suncatcher is laser cut in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck. The shape is gently curved so the light hits the surface from many directions. Bending leaves slight bend marks. They are not a flaw. They refract the light even more and make the edges glow more strongly.

Good to know about fluorescent acrylic glass

Fluorescent acrylic glass collects invisible UV radiation across its entire surface, channels it through the material and releases it as bright, visible light at the edges. That's why a PLEXIGLAS^® suncatcher glows even under an overcast sky – without needing a battery or power supply.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: the weatherproof acrylic glass can stay outside permanently, in rain and sun alike. If dust or pollen dulls the glow, just give the flower a quick rinse – and it will shine like new again.

Frequently asked questions

Does the suncatcher glow without direct sunlight? Yes. The fluorescent edges glow in sunshine, under cloud and even in light twilight, because the material gathers UV radiation.

Can the suncatcher stay outside permanently? Yes, the acrylic glass is weatherproof and sturdy – it's made for use in the garden.

Does the suncatcher need power or batteries? No. The glow is created purely by UV light hitting the surface.

What about the bending marks? The flower is slightly curved, and bending leaves fine marks. They're part of the production process and create extra light effects.

Is the rod included? Yes, every suncatcher comes with a grey, 100 cm long flexible fibreglass rod that sways gently in the wind.

In the end, it's not about a piece of acrylic glass on a rod. It's about the moment you look out into the garden and something is glowing there – on a grey November day just as much as in midsummer. Simply choose your favourite colour and find your flower a spot.
