Dragonfly suncatcher in fluorescent acrylic glass, 14 cm

You glance at the flower bed, and there it is again. A bright spot of colour between the perennials. It looks as if someone has caught the light. That is exactly what this suncatcher in fluorescent acrylic glass does. The dragonfly collects daylight and makes its edges glow in neon green, neon orange or neon red. Even under an overcast sky. Made for your flower bed: attach it, push it in, enjoy the view.

What changes for you

• Your garden glows even on grey days. The fluorescent acrylic glass absorbs UV light across its surface and releases it brightly at the edges.
• You get gentle movement in your flower bed without power or technology. The 100 cm fibreglass swing rod rocks the dragonfly to and fro in even a light breeze.
• You can leave the suncatcher outdoors all year round. The weatherproof, robust acrylic copes with rain and sun.
• In seconds, you add colour where there isn't any. In a flower pot on the balcony just as well as in the middle of a perennial bed.

Why this suncatcher makes a difference every day

A garden is full of small moments. The breeze that moves the grasses. The light that keeps changing. The dragonfly picks up on both. It sways in the wind and glows along with the daylight. Sometimes strongly in the sun, sometimes surprisingly bright at dusk. It becomes a spot in the bed that keeps catching your eye. And you don't have to do anything for it.

Material & finish

The dragonfly is made of weatherproof, robust acrylic glass. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. This gives it cleanly cut edges. And it is at these edges that the gathered light shines out most brightly. The wings are slightly curved, which gives the figure depth and a lifelike look. Bending leaves fine bend marks. They are part of the manufacturing process and create extra play of light on the surface.

• In the outdoor area of a café or beer garden: pushed into planters, the swaying dragonfly adds cheerful dots of colour. Your team doesn't need to look after it.

Good to know about fluorescent acrylic glass

Fluorescent acrylic glass absorbs UV radiation across its entire surface. It channels it through the material and releases it at the edges as concentrated visible light. That's why the suncatcher doesn't need bright sunshine. Even when it's cloudy or at early dusk, the edges glow in strong neon. And your garden has a bright spot all year round.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. The weatherproof acrylic glass can stay outdoors permanently, in wind and rain. If dust or soil settles on it over time, a quick wipe is enough. Then the edges glow like on the first day.

Frequently asked questions

Does the suncatcher only glow in direct sunlight? No. The fluorescent acrylic glass reacts to UV radiation. This is also present when it's cloudy and at early dusk. So the edges glow for most of the day.

Is the dragonfly suitable for outdoor use? Yes, the acrylic glass is weatherproof and robust. The suncatcher can stay in the flower bed or flower pot all year round.

What's included? The dragonfly in the colour of your choice and a grey fibreglass swing rod, 100 cm long. The rod moves gently in the wind.

What about the slight bend marks? They appear when the curved wings are bent. They are part of the manufacturing process and create extra play of light on the surface. They are not a defect.

A piece of acrylic glass on a rod gives you this moment: you look out of the window, and in the middle of a grey day a small glowing spot dances in your garden. Just choose your favourite colour – neon green, neon orange or neon red.
