So that the glow lasts, the disc is made of weatherproof, robust acrylic in transparent neon green. The material concentrates the UV light that hits it. The light leaves the disc again at the edges as a bright glow. This is the effect that makes this suncatcher so lively. Every disc is laser-cut in Bütic's own production in Pößneck and then bent. This leaves slight bending marks. They refract the light even more and give each surface its own look.

Does the suncatcher only glow in direct sunlight? No. Whether it's sunny, cloudy or early dusk – the UV light in daylight is enough to make the edges glow bright green.

Is the rod included? Yes, a grey fibreglass swing rod, 100 cm long, is included. Simply push it into the soil, put the disc on top, done.

Can the suncatcher stay outside permanently? Yes, the acrylic is weatherproof and robust. It is made for use in the garden.
