Material & finish

Every shape is laser-cut from plywood approx. 3 mm thick. It is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting gives clean, precise outlines. It also leaves the typical brown edge, which gives each piece a crafted look. The wood is left untreated and natural. You can use it straight away or decorate it however you like. Wood is a natural material and is never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine grain patterns and small knots are normal. They make each piece one of a kind and are not a flaw.

Good to know about laser-cut table scatter

The brown edge is created during laser cutting. The heat seals the cut edge. This stops fraying and keeps the outline crisp. The dark edge frames each shape like a fine line. This contrast is especially visible when you paint them in light colours.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Simply store the table scatter somewhere dry. Then you can reuse it for many occasions. Avoid long-term damp, as the wood is untreated. If you oil or varnish the pieces, the surface becomes more resistant.
