Material & finish

The fir tree is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. It has the typical, slightly browned edge that comes with this process. The edge frames the motif and underlines its hand-crafted character. The edges are smooth, so the shape feels pleasant in your hand and you can start decorating right away. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. This means paints, glue and pens stick well. Wood is a natural material and never flawless. Differences in shade, fine structures in the grain and small knots are normal and make every piece unique. The fir tree is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
