Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The Advent wreath is up and the candles are out. Now the windowsill just needs a fir tree. A wooden fir tree rounds off your winter decorations. Its shape is simple, and the wood feels warm and pleasant in your hand. Leave it natural or paint it together with your children. Either way, the cutout becomes your very own piece of Christmas.
What changes for you
- You can design your decorations exactly the way you like them – because the wood is untreated and can be decorated with stickers or glued embellishments, painted, coated or oiled.
- Your fir tree fits perfectly on your windowsill, shelf or shop window – thanks to a height you can choose freely from 3 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft in a relaxed way, even with children – because the laser-cut edges are smooth and need no sanding.
- For bigger projects such as Christmas cards, gift tags or table decorations, you'll always have plenty to hand – because the wooden fir tree is available individually or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- You're displaying something with character – because as a natural material, every piece is unique with its own grain.
Why this wooden fir tree makes a difference every day
Among glittery mass-produced decorations, a simple wooden fir tree is a calm anchor point. Its modern, clean shape suits a pared-back home just as well as a festive table. You choose the size and design yourself. So your decorations really show your own style. A few cutouts become decorations you can enjoy year after year.
Material & finish
The fir tree is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives clean, smooth edges and the typical fine brown rim that brings out the outline nicely. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why it takes paint, glue or oil well. Every fir tree is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a natural material and never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine grain patterns or small knots are normal. That's exactly what makes every piece unique.

- On the festive table: a fir tree with a name at every place – your guests not only find their seat but also take home a keepsake.
- For your café or shop: place several sizes in a staggered row in the shop window. Your Christmas decorations are up in a few minutes. They're made of wood and you can reuse them every year.
- At the Christmas market or a craft stall: fir trees as hanging decorations or table scatter enhance your product display without distracting from what you're selling.
Good to know about the fir tree
As an evergreen, the fir tree has been a symbol of constancy and hope for centuries – which gave rise to the tradition of the decorated Christmas tree in German-speaking countries. That's why the motif suits not only Advent but the whole winter season as a calm, natural decoration.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: store the fir trees in a dry place and keep them away from constant moisture, and their shape and surface will stay lovely for many years. If you paint, oil or varnish the untreated wood, you'll also seal the surface – so you can enjoy your self-designed decorations for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the fir tree or stick things on it? Yes. The poplar plywood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed, and takes paints, glues and oils well.
Why does the fir tree have a brown edge? The cutout is made with a laser – this creates the typical brown rim along the edges, which finely traces the shape.
How wide is the fir tree at my chosen height? As a guide: at a height of 10 cm, the width is approx. 8 cm. The proportions stay the same across all sizes.
Do all the fir trees look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't: as a natural material, it shows variations in shade, fine structures and occasionally small knots – every piece is unique.
In the end, it's not about a wooden cutout. It's about the afternoon spent painting, gluing and laughing at the kitchen table – and about the fir tree that gets a place of honour again every year afterwards. Simply choose your size and quantity, and get started.
