The swans are laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth, clean edges. It also creates the typical brown edge that subtly traces the outline of the silhouette. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So you have a neutral surface that takes paint, glue and oil well. As a natural material, each piece shows its own grain. Brightness and texture vary slightly, and small knots may occur. That makes every swan pair unique.
