Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. You're sitting at the craft table and your paints are ready. All you need now is the right base shape for your idea. That's exactly what this wooden 1/4 circle is for. It's a cleanly laser-cut quarter circle in plywood. You order it in the size you want. Then you can stick things on it, paint it or decorate it straight away. That's how an idea turns directly into a finished piece of decoration.
What changes for you
- You skip the tedious sawing and sanding. The quarter circle is laser-cut and has smooth edges, so you can get started right away.
- You get exactly the size your project needs. Choose from 5 x 5 cm to 50 x 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You design it just the way you like. The untreated wood takes paint, oil, varnish or glue easily.
- You can build semicircles or a full wooden circle from several pieces. The quarter circles fit together like slices of cake.
- You work with a light material that's easy to handle. At 3 mm thick, the cutout is easy to hang up, glue on or work further.
Why this wooden quarter circle makes a difference day to day
A good base shape takes care of the hardest part of a craft project: the exact cut. Instead of battling with a saw and sandpaper, you start straight with the fun part – the designing. Wall decoration, model making or gift tags: with a clean shape, straight lines, even curves and precise angles are noticeable at once.
Material & finish
The cutout is made from 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in Bütic's own production in Pößneck. This gives smooth edges and a clean finish. You won't hurt yourself on it, and you don't need to rework it. The slightly brown edge is typical of laser cutting and gives each piece its characteristic look. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You decide on the surface yourself. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. Varying shades, fine grain patterns or small knots are normal. They make every cutout one of a kind.

How to use the quarter circle
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own slice of cake. At the end, you put together a colourful wooden circle as a group.
- For wall decoration: arrange several quarter circles in different sizes, then paint or cover them. Your bare wall gets a calm, geometric design.
- In model making: use it as an arch, cladding or base plate. The smooth laser edge fits neatly into the model.
- In a shop or café: write on it and use it as a price tag or sign at the counter. It's a natural material, quick to swap and always looks tidy.
- For gifts and occasions: paint it or stick things on it to make a tag, name sign or place card. It's a small detail your guests will notice straight away.
Good to know about laser cutting
During laser cutting, the cut edge burns very slightly. That's why all laser-cut wooden cutouts have the typical brown edge. Many people use it on purpose as a design element, because it frames the shape. If you prefer a lighter look, simply paint over it as you decorate.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the untreated wood somewhere dry and protect it from constant moisture. If you want to use it outdoors or in damp rooms, seal the surface with paint, varnish or oil. That way the shape stays stable and looks good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the quarter circle or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated and in its natural state. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or decorate it however you like.
Can several quarter circles be combined into a full circle? Yes. Four pieces of the same size make a complete circle. Two pieces make a semicircle.
Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The edge is created during laser cutting and is typical of this process. You can paint over it or use it as a design detail.
Does every cutout look the same? The shape and dimensions are the same. The wood itself varies slightly: shade, grain and small knots differ. As a natural material, every piece is one of a kind.
A wooden cutout is only the starting point. What counts is the moment your idea takes shape and you hold the finished piece in your hands. Just choose your size – and get started.
