Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Autumn is arriving. Chestnuts and colourful leaves lie on the table. The first wreath hangs at the window. Only one motif is missing to tie it all together. This wooden walnut is made for exactly that. It is an open walnut for painting, gluing and decorating, and you order it in the size you want. Your single finds become finished autumn decorations. At home and in the shop window alike.
What changes for you
- You get exactly the size that fits your project. The walnut can be ordered from 5 cm to 50 cm wide in 1 cm steps.
- You can get creative straight away, with paint, glue or oil. The wood is untreated and takes any kind of finish.
- Your decoration looks finished from the start, even without paint. That's thanks to the typical brown laser edge and the nut texture drawn with laser-scored contour lines.
- No reworking needed. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so nothing needs sanding or deburring.
- You can supply larger projects in one go. Order single pieces or sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden walnut makes a difference every day
Walnuts belong to autumn decorations just like chestnuts and pumpkins. As a wooden shape, though, they last year after year and always look just as inviting. Instead of searching for matching pieces, you have one motif that fits into a wreath, a table setting or a shop window. It gives the arrangement calm, natural lines. And because you choose the size freely, the nut works as a small table scatter piece as well as a large motif on the shop counter.
Material & finish
The walnut is made of 3 mm plywood. This makes it light yet stable in the hand. The top has the laser-scored contour lines. The underside stays plain, which is ideal if you want to glue something on or write on it. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why it takes paint, glue and oil well. As a natural material, each piece has its own shade, slight differences in the grain and the occasional small knot. This makes every walnut one of a kind and is not a defect. It is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden walnut
- Crafting with children: put a walnut to paint on the table and add some colours. At the end, every child has their own autumn nut for the windowsill.
- For an autumn wreath: tuck several small nuts between twigs and leaves. The wreath on your door gets a motif that instantly says harvest time.
- As table decoration for a harvest festival or autumn dinner: place one nut at each setting. The table looks lovingly laid before the first course arrives.
- In a farm shop or at the weekly market: write on a large walnut and put it by the nut crate. Your produce is recognisable at a glance, without a printed sign.
- In a bakery or café window: arrange several sizes in a staggered display. Your autumn decoration is up in minutes and can be reused next year.
Good to know about the walnut
The walnut has always been part of the autumn harvest. As a classic on the St Nicholas plate, it also has its place in Advent. That's why the motif carries your decoration through two seasons. From the harvest festival table in October to the Christmas shop window.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. Store the walnut in a dry place and dust it off when needed. Avoid constant moisture, as the wood is untreated. If you want to protect it or change its colour, you can paint or oil it as you like. This keeps the nut ready for use for many seasons.

Why do the nuts look slightly different? Wood is a natural material. Shade and grain vary, and small knots are normal. Every piece is one of a kind.
