The craft table is set and the paints are ready. All you need now is a motif that makes you want to get creative. This wooden wolf in untreated plywood is made for your next crafting afternoon. It has a clear silhouette and smooth edges. You can paint the natural surface, stick things on it or simply use it as it is. That's how a plain cutout becomes your own wolf decoration.

What changes for you

  • You can start straight away without any preparation. The wood is untreated, so paints, varnishes and glue stick to it directly.
  • Your project always fits, from a small gift tag to a large wall decoration. You choose the width from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • Crafting with children is relaxed too. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so nothing needs sanding.
  • For bigger projects you get plenty of pieces. Buy them singly or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
  • Your decoration looks neatly finished even when unpainted. The typical brown laser edge subtly frames the silhouette.

Why this wooden wolf makes a difference in everyday life

A wooden wolf brings a bit of forest into your home. It looks calm and natural without being intrusive. Use it on the windowsill, on a present or as part of a larger woodland animal display. The plywood shows grain and natural colour that printed card or plastic can't offer in the same way. And because you design the motif yourself, each piece has a bit of you in it.

Material & finish

The wolf is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives clean, smooth edges and the characteristic brown rim that brings out the shape. The wood is completely untreated, neither varnished nor stained. That's why it reliably takes paint, oil and glue. Wood is a natural material. Shade and grain vary from piece to piece, including small knots. This makes every wolf one of a kind. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden wolf

  • At a crafting afternoon with children: every child paints their own wolf. At the end, they proudly take home a keepsake they made themselves.
  • As window or shelf decoration: arrange a few wolves in different sizes. That brings a touch of forest into your living room.
  • On a present: tie a small wolf to the ribbon or wrapping paper as a tag. Your parcel stands out before it is even unwrapped.
  • For a children's party with a woodland or animal theme: put one at every place setting. Your table decoration is ready in a few minutes.
  • For nurseries, schools or craft groups: the sets of 10 or more give the whole group identical blanks. Everyone starts on the same footing and gets going quickly. There's no cutting to do.
  • In a shop window or at the weekly market: larger wolves up to 50 cm wide showcase a seasonal nature theme. You don't need any elaborate decorating.

Good to know about wolves

Wolves live in packs. That's why they have always stood for togetherness and family. This makes the wooden wolf a fitting motif for group craft projects and woodland-themed parties. It also works for a display where several sizes form a little pack.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Stored dry, the untreated cutout keeps its natural look for a long time. Avoid constant moisture. If you want to use the wolf outdoors or in damper rooms, simply oil, paint or varnish it to protect the surface.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wood treated? No, the wolf is untreated – neither varnished nor stained. You can paint it, stick things on it, coat it or oil it as you like.

Why does the cutout have a brown edge? The wolf is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge that brings out the silhouette. The edges are smooth and don't need any finishing.

Do all the wolves look the same? The shape does, the wood doesn't. As a natural material, every piece has its own shade. Small irregularities in the grain or knots are normal. They make every wolf unique.

How big is the wolf at a particular width? As a guide: at 10 cm wide, it is 5.5 cm high. The proportions stay the same at every width.

This is about more than a plywood cutout. It's about the moment a plain piece of wood becomes a one-off decoration in your hands. Just choose your width and quantity – and get started.
