With these wooden numbers, symbols and punctuation marks in the Arial font, you can put together exactly the lettering you need. Character by character, made for your project. Each character is sold individually and comes in four sizes. They match our wooden letters in upper and lower case.

Material & finish

The characters are laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. That gives them smooth, precise outlines and the typical brown edge. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck. The light beige surface is untreated and takes paint, oil or glue well. Please note: wood is a purely natural material. It is never completely even. Some pieces are lighter, some darker, with small irregularities or knots in the grain. This makes every character one of a kind.

Good to know about the Arial font

Arial is a sans-serif font designed for clear legibility. This works even from a few metres away and at small sizes. That's why it suits table numbers, price tags and dates so well. People should be able to read them at a glance.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. If untreated, an occasional dusting is enough. If you paint or oil the characters, the surface is better protected and easier to wipe clean. Avoid constant moisture. That way the natural wood keeps its shape and looks good for a long time.

• Every number and every symbol is a separate item. You put together your own combination
• Important: the height you choose refers to the numbers. Small punctuation marks such as full stops, commas or minus signs are made to the scale of the font. So they are much smaller. For example, a full stop in the 10 cm size is only about 1.4 cm.
• For a date, a number or a sentence, order all characters in the same size. Only then will they match in the lettering.

Are the characters supplied individually? Yes, every number and every symbol is a single piece. So you can combine exactly the characters you need for your text.

Can I paint or decorate the characters? Yes, the poplar wood is untreated. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or use it natural. Drilling and gluing are no problem either.

Why do the edges have a brown rim? The characters are laser-cut. The brown edge forms naturally during cutting and comes with clean, precise outlines.

Why is my full stop or comma so small? Small punctuation marks are designed to the scale of the Arial font. So they are much smaller than the number height you choose. This is intentional, so that the lettering fits together.

Does every character look the same? Wood is a natural material. Brightness and grain can vary slightly, and small knots are normal. This makes every character one of a kind.
