Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Your child's name above the bed, a favourite word in the hallway or a clear label on the shop counter. Often a room only needs one word on the wall to really look like yours. With these wooden letters in the Bauhaus93 font, you build your own text letter by letter. It is made for your wall. The round, bold Bauhaus letters in light poplar plywood turn a blank surface into your surface.
What changes for you
- You create exactly the lettering that suits you. You choose every letter on its own, as a capital or lowercase letter, in four heights from 5 to 20 cm.
- Your lettering gets your colour. You can paint, coat, oil or cover the untreated surface.
- You can put the letters on the wall with little effort. The light poplar plywood is only 3 mm thin. A glue dot is often enough to hold it. You can also drill it if needed.
- Your text looks cleanly cut. The laser cut leaves the typical brown edge and outlines every contour clearly.
- You get handmade pieces rather than mass-produced goods. Every letter is laser-cut in Bütic's own production in Pößneck.
Why these wooden letters make a difference in everyday life
Lettering you put together yourself tells a story: your child's name, a favourite word, the greeting at the front door. The light beige of the wood sits quietly in the room instead of standing out. Yet it still draws the eye to the word that matters to you. In a shop or café, wooden lettering also gives your counter, shelf or shop window a natural, consistent look.
Material & finish
The letters are made of 3 mm poplar plywood. It is light in colour and pleasantly lightweight. So glue dots are enough to hold them firmly on the wall. The laser cut gives clean edges and the typical brown rim. This rim brings out the shapes of the Bauhaus93 font. The wood is left natural. Some pieces are a little lighter, some a little darker. The grain varies slightly and there may be the odd knot. This makes every letter one of a kind. It is not a flaw but a feature of a real natural material.

- For crafts and decorating: paint the letters in your chosen colour and glue them onto signs or gifts. Simple things become your own pieces.
- For a wedding, christening or birthday: names or a date as lettering on the gift table. Afterwards the word stays on the wall as a keepsake.
Good to know about the Bauhaus93 font
The Bauhaus93 font takes up the geometric style of the Bauhaus. The school was founded in Weimar in 1919 and made clear circles and lines its design principle. Weimar is in Thuringia, by the way, just like our own production in Pößneck. That is why these letters suit modern, minimalist interiors so well. At the same time, they give any lettering a retro touch.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. Dusting with a dry cloth now and then is enough. As the wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture. Paint or oil gives the surface extra protection and your chosen colour at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or oil the letters? Yes, the surface is untreated. You can cover, paint or oil it. This is ideal if you want your lettering in a specific colour.
Why do the letters have a brown edge? The letters are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge along the cut. It is part of the product and brings out the shape of the font.
Is a lowercase letter as tall as the chosen size? No. The chosen height applies to capital letters. Lowercase letters are made to the same scale and are therefore shorter. Order all the letters for one word in the same size, and they will match.
How do I fix the letters? You can glue or drill them. They are only 3 mm thick and made of light poplar plywood. So a glue dot is usually enough.
Do all the letters look the same? Wood is a natural material. Colour and grain vary slightly, and small knots are normal. This makes every letter one of a kind.
Plywood and laser cutting are only part of it. What counts is the moment your word hangs on the wall and the room suddenly shows your own hand. Simply choose your letters and the right height, and put together your own text.
