Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A name on the nursery door, a saying above the sofa or a lovingly made wedding gift. Sometimes all that's missing is the right lettering to turn an idea into something of your own. With the Magnolia wooden letters, you put together your own text letter by letter. The font is the flowing script Magnolia Plantation. The letters are untreated and made of light poplar plywood. They are ready for your next decorating project.
What changes for you
- You design exactly the lettering that suits you. You choose each capital and lower-case letter individually and combine them freely.
- Your text looks like one continuous piece. That's thanks to the joined-up script Magnolia Plantation with its fine flourishes.
- You can get creative straight away, with no preparation. You can stick things onto the untreated poplar wood, paint it or oil it directly.
- You'll find the right size for every surface. Choose from a delicate 5 cm for small signs up to 20 cm for wall decor.
- You attach the letters the way you prefer. Glue them or drill them. With a material thickness of 3 mm, both work without any trouble.
Why these wooden letters make a difference in everyday life
Lettering you put together yourself says more than any ready-made decoration. It carries a name, a date or a word that means something to you. The light beige tone of the poplar wood blends quietly into any room. Or you paint it in exactly the colour that matches your interior. Single letters become a piece of home that exists only once.
Material & finish
Each letter is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives the cut edges their typical brown rim. The rim sets off the light surface and shows how the letter was made. The wood stays natural: untreated, with the light grain and colour variations of a real natural material. This makes each piece one of a kind – it is not a flaw. The letters are made in our own production in Pößneck. They are cut cleanly, right down to the flourishes of the script.

How to use the wooden letters
- For the nursery: the name on the door, painted in bright colours. Your child gets a sign that really belongs only to them.
- For a wedding or christening: names and date as lettering, glued onto a canvas or wooden board. A gift that will remind everyone of the day for years to come.
- In the living room: a favourite word above the shelf. Your wall shows something that belongs to you, without any big redecorating.
- In a café or shop: what you offer or your business name as lettering in the window or on the counter. Uniform, neat and quick to put up.
- Crafting with children: everyone decorates their own letter. In the end, you have a joint piece for the wall.
Good to know about poplar plywood
Poplar is one of the lightest native woods. That's why the letters are easy to attach to walls, doors or decorative objects. A simple adhesive dot is often enough. The light, even surface takes paints and varnishes well, so you have a free hand when decorating.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. As the wood is untreated, it lasts best in dry indoor areas. Protect it from constant moisture. If you paint, varnish or oil the letters, the surface gets extra protection. Your lettering then stays as it was on the first day for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Why are the lower-case letters shorter than the chosen size? The chosen height applies to the capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the scale of the font. Here is an example from the Arial font at 10 cm: the capital O is 10 cm high, the small a 7.3 cm and the small h 9.7 cm. The small g is 10 cm high but reaches about 2.6 cm below the baseline. In script fonts, lower-case letters are often a little smaller still.
Can I paint or decorate the letters? Yes. You can paint, varnish, oil and stick things onto the natural poplar wood. The light tone takes colours well.
Where does the brown rim on the edges come from? The letters are laser-cut. The brown rim forms during cutting and is a typical feature of this process.
How do I attach the letters? You can glue them or drill them. As the material is light, they hold even with simple adhesive solutions.
Are the letters joined together? No, each letter comes separately. This way you put your text together freely and decide on spacing and arrangement yourself.
Plywood and fonts are just the materials. What counts is the moment your child discovers their name on the door. Or a word hangs on the wall that only your home has. Simply choose your letters and the right height – you design the rest.
