Large wooden letters – MT25 letters made of wood, 25–40 cm

You put together these laser-cut wooden letters in the flowing MT font as your own text. Letter by letter, in 25 to 40 cm height, as if made for exactly this wall.

The letters are made of 3 mm poplar plywood with a beige, natural light surface. They are laser-cut and therefore have the typical brown edge along the cut edges. This is a feature of the production method and gives every letter a fine outline. The wood is left untreated. You can use it straight away or paint, oil or cover it as you like. As a natural product, every piece shows its own grain. No two letters are exactly alike.

Good to know about poplar wood

Poplar is one of the lightest native woods. That's why even wooden letters 40 cm high stay on the wall with little effort. Often a single adhesive dot is enough. The light, even surface takes paint well. This makes it a good base for your own design ideas.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Dusting with a dry cloth now and then is enough. As the wood is untreated, you should avoid constant moisture. If you paint or oil the letters, you make the surface more resistant. That way you'll enjoy your lettering for a long time.

• Lower-case letters are made to the same scale as in the font design. They are therefore lower than the chosen size. For comparison, using the Arial font: at 30 cm, the lower-case a is about 22 cm high and the lower-case h about 29 cm. A lower-case g extends about 8 cm below the baseline. In script fonts, lower-case letters often turn out a little smaller still.
• So for one word, order all letters in the same size, even if it starts with a capital letter. That way, upper- and lower-case letters match.
